W3LL People Brightener Stick

W3LL People Bio Brightener Stick

img_7735Luminous, lit-from-within skin. It’s the holy grail of beauty looks, and one that I’ve spent years trying to achieve. I’ve upped my lemon water intake, wear sunscreen daily and only occasionally skip washing my face now, but even with these steps, a little extra help never hurts. One of the easiest ways to capture this look is with highlighters, and my go-to product recently is the W3LL People Bio Brightener in Moonstone. Here’s why:

The Bio Brightener Stick: This is a cream-based stick with a satiny finish, so it’s easy to apply and blend. I use it on my temples and cheekbones in a ‘C’ motion, brow bone and on the cupid’s bow of my lip. It has a subtle shine that creates a lovely, luminescent look without feeling greasy or overly made-up. The shimmer is subtle, and although this product is buildable, if you’re looking for that Kardashian Glow, this is not your product. I love that this is made with only organic ingredients, including chamomile and aloe, which are nourishing for the skin, especially since my skin tends to become drier as the weather gets colder. The lack of harsh chemicals, dyes or parabens makes my sensitive skin very happy too. The Bio Brightener stick is a product that will last for a long time, can be used for both day and evening looks, and is a must-have staple in my clean beauty bag.

The company: The dream team behind W3LL People is a makeup artist, dermatologist and a ‘conscious commerce’ marketer/tree hugger, so they have the trifecta on eco-luxe products that are good for your skin and good for the earth. I heard about W3LL People from a few trusted green beauty bloggers, but the line is only carried online and at select locations, including Whole Foods and now some Target stores. Buying makeup online can be tricky, so when we visited Austin last March, I made a point to stop by the W3LL People flagship studio so I could try and test the products in person. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and the space minimal and modern chic. Besides buying the Bio Brightener stick, I also purchased the Expressionist Mascara in Pro Black and the Nudist Colorbalm in No. 8 (Poppy). Overall, I really like the W3LL People products and may just make the leap to foundations with them.

I’d love to hear, do you have a natural makeup product that you love?

*A side note: This post is strictly my opinion. I was not paid for this blog post. I bought this product with my own cold, hard cash.
