Dark Cherry Vanilla Smoothie

Dark Cherry Vanilla Smoothie

I love cherries. I could polish off a whole bag while I watch my boys play Slither.io. Cherry season is upon us, and it’s a short season at that, so take advantage. I’m digging the moodiness of this dark cherry vanilla smoothie – it goes well with Monday. Enjoy!

Cheers to cherry season!

Makes 1 8-10 oz. Dark Cherry Vanilla Smoothie.

Ingredients:

8 ounces almond/coconut milk blend

1-1½ cups frozen cherries*

½ frozen banana

1-2 tbsp. Vanilla protein powder (I prefer the plant-based vegan brand Orgain).

Optional: ½tsp vanilla extract for more flavor.

I garnished mine with cacao nibs and shredded unsweetened coconut for an afternoon energy kick. Feel free to add these or anything else that floats your…smoothie.

*Add ice if you are using fresh, non-frozen cherries. (Add more ice if you want your smoothies thick like a milkshake. Don’t forget a spoon).

Instructions:

  1. Add the frozen cherries, banana, protein powder and almond/coconut milk to the blender. Blend all the ingredients together in a high-speed blender until creamy and smooth. Enjoy!

Let me know if you liked this smoothie or modified it or threw it out!:)
