Tata Harper Purifying Cleanser

Tata Harper Purifying Cleanser

“Beauty products should contribute to your health, not compromise it.” – Tata Harper

I’m in the process of transitioning my makeup and skin care routine over to all natural, non-toxic products. It’s been a slow, and somewhat frustrating and expensive journey, as I have discovered through online reviews, research and good ol’ trial and error which products work and which simply do not. Along the way, one brand that kept getting a lot of buzz on various clean beauty blogs I trusted was Tata Harper. After checking out the website, I was intrigued and delighted by their overall organic beauty philosophy, sustainable small farming practices in rural Vermont and product transparency.

Fast forward and I now have a few Tata Harper skin care and beauty products in my arsenal, but one standout is the Tata Harper Purifying Cleanser. It’s 100% free from synthetics, artificial fragrances, fillers, GMOs, gluten and other junk and is one of my absolute faves. Here’s why:

Tata Harper Purifying Cleanser
This photo is from the Tata Harper website, because my personal bottle is half-used and kind of messy.

The smell: a natural herbal, lemongrass fragrance that smells refreshingly divine.

The cleanser: the lightweight cream/gel has a slightly oily consistency which I love. One pump seems to be enough to wash my entire face.

The company: Honestly, what’s not to love about this company? Tata Harper Skincare walks the organic walk and talks the organic talk. Since the products are made by hand, they are Eco-certified, cruelty-free, 100% vegetarian and your individual product can be traced back to its origin in the Open Lab Program. (I haven’t done this yet but I like the fact that on any given day I can do this.)

Is it effective? Yes! I’ve been washing my face nightly with the Purifying Cleanser for the past few months. I have normal to dry skin, and although this cleanser is recommended for normal to oily skin, it does not leave my skin overly dry or feeling tight. When used on damp skin, it creates a minimal lather that leaves my skin soft and clean, with even a bit of a glow. In addition to wearing daily sunscreen, this cleanser is another layer in my clean beauty skin care routine that I’m really happy to use.

I’d love to hear, do you have a natural skin care product that you love?

*A side note: This post is strictly my opinion. I was not paid for this blog post. I bought this product with my own cold, hard cash.

    1. Thank you! I had the same worry, since my skin is more dry, but it’s surprisingly mild. Side note: I love your blog and can relate to your anxiety – having lived with it myself for many, many years now.

      1. You have a lovely blog as well. Thanks for sharing about your anxiety. It has brought mine great solace knowing there are others that have gone through similar things. Thank you. 🙂
