The Weekend Guide

One of the biggest misnomers about living in St. Louis is that there is ‘nothing to do.’ I’m always surprised to hear this, and it begs the question, “Where are you looking?’ On any given day, there are actually many things to do, many cool, fun, fabulous, and even free things to do. But like any city with a bit of mystery, you have to know where to look. I’ve highlighted a few events that I believe are worth checking out. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, wherever you may be.

The Ice Festival in the Loop starts tomorrow.
Why yes, I think that is a Griffin smoking a stogie! Celebrate Winter with ice carvings, ice slides, a s’mores roast and so much more at the family-friendly Loop Ice Carnival.
The Central Library
Warm up from the cold and take a docent-led tour of the newly renovated Central Library.
Book the sitter and head to the newly MX Moies
Date Night! Drink, dine and catch up on all the Oscar-nominated movies this weekend at the newly opened MX Movies. Pst…they serve wine!
Circus Harmony presents Capriccio at the City Museum.
Take the kids to see an afternoon performance of Circus Harmony‘s Capriccio at the City Museum.
Sunday at Sump Coffee
Me time. While the boys watch football, grab the NY Times, treat yourself to the perfect hand-crafted cup of coffee at South City’s Sump Coffee, and enjoy the quiet.
