Rescued Furnishings and Design
A cozy, comfy corner bedecked with handmade Christmas tree ornaments.

Have you ever been driving along on your way somewhere, passed a storefront that caught your eye, and immediately made a U-Turn to go check it out? That’s how I discovered Rescued Furnishings and Design, a retail store/DIY/Kitchen Design space, with a vintage-meets-barnwood vibe.

The charming retail store, which opened about four months ago, features furniture and home decor accessories, including handmade metal ornaments, soaps, candles, tea towels, wood block signs with funny sayings, plush pillows, table decor, and more, most from local artists. I bought a beautiful vintage silver ornament and the eight year old picked out some homemade dog treats, because he’s sweet like that. Here are a few fun things that caught my eye:

Rescued Furnishings and Design
Festive napkins and table decor.
Rescued Furnishings and Design
Fleur-de-lis stockings hung with care.
Stapleydolls
Adorable and playful handmade Stapley Dolls.
Rescued Furnishings and Design
An open space in the back for the many DIY classes they offer, including Furniture Rescue, Cabinet Rescue and Power Tools and Pretty Things. Sign up early, as these classes tend to sell out.

Decorative metal wall words. I like ‘Joy’ for 2017. Which word would you choose?
