The name alone is fun. It’s sounds like something my boys would have made when they were young from random kitchen condiments. However, the ingredients in Supergoop!’s SPF50 Everyday Sunscreen make it surprisingly non-goopy and non-greasy. Here are a few reasons why Supergoop! makes the ‘prestigious’ CityMom Clean Beauty List, a list I just invented, like, right now:

The smell: it has a fragrant, lemony citrus smell with no chemical overtones.

The lotion: it is lightweight, glides on easily and absorbs quickly. A nickel size amount on my face and neck seems to do the daily trick.

Bonus: I love that I can wear this under my makeup without it leaving a white film on my face! 

The company: Supergoop! products are crueltry-free, vegan and do not include parabens, oxybenzone, or synthetic fragrances. Hooray! No harsh added chemicals. I like that.

Is it effective? So far, so good. I’ve used this on my face and neck for the past month and have been very happy with the level of protection. I like my 15 minutes of Vitamin D, but I’m mostly anti-sun since I have very fair skin that burns quickly and easily. Supergoop! is another layer in my sun protection arsenal, which also includes wearing a very non-sexy baseball cap when I’m out and about in the sun all day. Having tried many sunscreen products, I really like this one the best. I feel good using it daily, knowing it doesn’t have any harsh chemicals that can further damage my skin or disrupt my body.
