Spring has officially sprung, but you wouldn’t know that with the temps still hovering in the “I’m sick of Winter ” category. For all you bacon lovers, tomorrow’s your big day! St. Louis BaconFest, held Saturday at Kiener Plaza, features beer, games, live music and all things bacon, including the World’s Largest Hog Log, weighing in at close to 500 pounds!Spring is here and so is Farmhaus‘ 2nd annual Crawfish Boil on Sunday from noon-6 p.m. This cash-only, a la carte event will serve up a spicy selection of Cajun cuisine, with a few specialty drinks and beer. I can’t think of a better way to watch the snow fall!Speaking of snow, if you’re still in hibernation mode, the 8th Annual African Film Festival, which kicks off tonight through Sunday, may be just your ticket. This free event features ten films presented over three days, including Nairobi Half Life, which was submitted into the Oscar foreign-film category, and Lioness of Lisabi (pictured above)with a Q & A after the screening with director Stephanie Shonekan.
